The lack of clear and correct knowledge about Islam and Muslims has given rise to hate crimes and other acts of violence.\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">We need to tackle this issue on multiple levels, not just for Muslims but for the peace and harmony of all.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2 style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><b><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Islamophobia\">What Is Islamophobia<\/a>?<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">Islamophobia is a term used to describe a range of negative attitudes and feelings towards Islam and Muslims. It has commenced in various parts of the world. Islamophobia In Europe, anti-Muslim sentiment has been fueled by a series of terrorist attacks carried out by so-called, Islamic extremists. Again, claims have been made, but no solid proof exists to support the allegations. The preachers of Islam claim that their religion teaches anti-extremism and thus those who have portrayed themselves as Muslims and carried out acts of violence under the religion\u2019s name are misled and have gone astray.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2 style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><b><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">Why Is Islamophobia A Problem?<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\r\nThe rise in Islamophobia around the world is a cause for concern. It can lead to bigotry and brutality against Muslims and fuels the narrative of Islamic extremists seeking to recruit new members.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">Islamophobia creates an atmosphere of fear and mistrust between Muslims and non-Muslims. Overall it becomes difficult for Muslims to integrate into mainstream society. It\u2019s like a disease, spreading through ignorance and fear and causing division and hatred.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">We see it in how Muslims are tagged in the media as if the religion is preaching extremism which leads to terrorism. We see it in the way people react with suspicion and fear when they see a Muslim woman with a headscarf or a man with a beard. We see it in the way Muslims are targeted by hate crimes, both in the United States and worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">It&#8217;s time to cease the escalation of Islamophobia. We need to educate ourselves and others about what Islam is and stand up against hate and bigotry whenever we see it. We must build bridges of understanding and respect, not walls of fear and hatred.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2 style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><b><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">What Is Happening In The Muslim World Today?<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">There is a lot of unrest both externally and internally in the Muslim world today. Political turmoil, economic hardship, and social unrest are all commonplace. In addition, the Muslim world is also grappling with several other issues, such as the rise of Islamic extremism, the spread of sectarianism, and the challenge of modernization. As a result, the Muslim world, or the Muslim countries are seen as vulnerable and as highly volatile places.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2 style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><b><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">What Can We Do About Islamophobia?<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0e101a;\">There is no single answer to addressing the problem of Islamophobia. Many people don&#8217;t understand Islam as the religion of peace and harmony, and it is your responsibility as a Muslim to educate them. Even leaders of a community or a state or for that matter even a country need to broaden their mindset. Letting Muslims be and working against the spread of Islamophobia can benefit nations not just individuals.
